INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RATING

(IFR)

Instrument Rating is the next step after acquiring a Private Pilot License. We will teach you the challenges of flying solely by reference to instruments, rules and procedures specific to instrument flying, and additional instruction in meteorology.

  • The hours listed are based on the FAA Part 141 minimum requirements

  • Additional training may be required

  • The hourly rates listed above are based on our block rates

  • You MUST be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English Language

  • Fees for knowledge and practical tests are at the discretion of the examiners and testing centers and are subject to changes

FAA REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 17 years old to pass the practical flight exam

  • Hold at least a current FAA Private Pilot Certificate

  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language

  • FAA medical exam is required

  • Must be a US Citizen or acquire TSA Approval
